Rutgers – Day Without a Woman: Walk-out to Teach-in

On March 8th International Women’s Day, the WomensMarch in partnership with Strike4democracy and International Women’s Strike have called us into action, to promote equity, justice and the human rights of women, through a one-day demonstration of economic solidarity.
Lets join this international movement by staging a walk-out and teach-ins at Voorhees Mall. Lets mobilize and organize to continue showing our united dissent from the Trump administration that is aiming to divide us and oppress us.

3. Avoid shopping for one day (with exceptions for small, women- and minority-owned businesses).

We ask students, faculty, & staff of Rutgers and New Brunswick residents to walk-out of classes, offices,dorms, homes, businesses wherever they are at 2pm on Wednesday March 8th and march down the streets into Teach-ins at Voorhees Mall in College Ave.
Current teach-in topics: Reproductive Rights; Civic Engagement as Resistance; Intersectionality in Women’s Labor Movement; Mansplaining, Manterrupting & Bropropriating; Lobbying for sanctuary cities; Race, Power, and Justice; and more to come…
